Yellowstone Day 2

The second day of Yellowstone was another fabulous day. We saw several animals and went to lots of fun places. The girls saw Old Faithful and several other thermal features. We picniced in the park and walked in some of the creeks. It was a great day!

Yellowstone Day 1

Yellowstone was FABULOUS! It's such a great experience, one that we plan to have again soon. The first day of Yellowstone we did the North loop. We saw a black bear, buffalo, elk, some weird geese, and a bald eagle. We had a pretty close encounter with a buffalo. The picture that you see has absolutely no zoom at all. We were seriously that close to the buffalo. It was crazy! The girls all liked climbing Sheepeater's Cliff. There really wasn't anything that we didn't like. We stayed pretty much the entire day in the park and could have stayed longer if we had more time. We spent the night in West Yellowstone in a hole in the wall hotel. But it was alright.

Road trip to Wyoming

Well it's been a month since we've been back from our summer road trip. We went to several fun places and saw many things that I've never seen before. The first leg of our trip was driving to Wyoming to meet Aunt Carole and Jean. Bryan was able to come with us and make the car ride up. Sloane, Raegan, Samantha, and Mallory all rode in the back with lots of movies, lots of crying about napping, and lots of snacks. The first day we made it to Denver, CO. We stayed the night in a hotel with an indoor pool. Sloane and Raegan swam with Bryan while the twins bathed and went to sleep. The next day we had another road trip to Cody, WY. We stayed at the Big Bear Motel, walked downtown Cody, found Aunt Colleen's art gallery, and met up with Aunt Carole and Jean late at night. The car ride through Wyoming was beautiful! We visited the Cody Dam on our way into Yellowstone. That was really neat!

4th of July

4th of July was the normal party for the Sharer family. We started the festivities at the pool with the opening of the Splash Pad. Then we watched the parade and caught what little candy they threw. Then we all headed to the Shepherd's house for a little barbeque and friends gathering. This year we decided to watch the fireworks at the country club with family. S & M are enjoying holidays more. They are getting to the age that they can play with friends and not be supervised so closely. And we can skip naps when we need to. It was another great holiday!
