Spring Break Camping

We decided to brave camping with everyone. The Helms Family went with us as well as Sloane. We went just an hour away to Lake Ray Roberts. I was a bit worried that it was going to be too cold at night, but the weather was perfect both at night and during the day. The campsite is just perfect. It's close enough to the "beach" area, playground, kid's fishing pond, and bathrooms. There are also bike trails throughout the campsite that are fun to explore, as well as some walking trails.

The kids all had a blast! We got there on a Friday and left late Sunday afternoon. The kids were able to fish, walk in the water at the beach, play on the playground, go on walks, and bike ride. The big kids wanted to stay an extra night with me. But there was rain in the forecast and I didn't want to be packing everything up, by myself, in the rain. So we skipped adding another night and plan to go again very soon.

Destination Imagination

Raegan competed in her first Destination Imagination event at BNHS on March 5th. She worked with a team called the Bubble Gum Chewing Monkeys. The team has been working together for almost 5 months every week. They did a great job as Rising Stars! The team didn't win any specific awards but worked well as a team and will hopefully be back together next year. Raegan enjoyed it!

Odyssey Sleepover

Raegan had 7 of her Odyssey friends sleep over a few weeks ago. The girls ate pizza, made smores, jumped on the trampoline, tie dyed shirts, played Just Dance 2, and watched a movie. They had tons of fun and we'll do it again soon! She has such a great group of girls on her team. She really enjoys spending time with them.

Angel Fire, New Mexico- Raegan's first ski trip!

On a whim, we decided to go skiing with the Helms, Shepherds, and Wilsons. It was a very last minute trip but went off without a hitch and was a great time! One that we all hope to repeat next year.

We went to Angel Fire, NM, a quick 10 hour drive from DFW. The kids (minus Aiden) went to ski school the first day we were there and the adults hit the slopes. They learned all they needed to know in that day and did very well the next 2 days. Raegan was hitting the blues on her second run with us and by the end of the trip, all of the kids that skiied were skiing blues. It was SO MUCH fun and the weather was great. The last day was really cold and windy. But it made the slopes completely empty and we were able to do run after run after run. Such a fun trip! And Bryan and I couldn't have been any prouder of Raegan! She was not scared to take any of the runs and loved it!

Valentine's Day 2011

Valentine's Day fell on a Monday this year. So the girls all had parties at school. We made Monkey Munch to attach to the Valentine's cards and everyone helped make Oreo Bon Bons for their teachers. I was able to go to Raegan's party at school but not able to make the twins' party at Mrs. Sherry's house. But it seems like everyone had a great time! And Cupid brought Raegan Just Dance 2 for the Wii, a HUGE hit!
