I'm not sure how much of the bubble bath she put in the tub.  Girls had fun though!!

Primetime Summer Shootout 2012

Fever Black 03 played in the Primetime Summer Shootout this May.  The girls looked great!  They have added 3 new players and still don't have a goalie.  The 3 new players fit in well with the girls and they looked great on the field.  They ended up winning 2 out of 3 pool games.  The last game was against Sting Scarfone.  The girls lost to Sting Scarfone in pool play and at the last Primetime tournament championship game.  But they pulled it out this time and beat Sting in the championship game.  It was AWESOME!  The girls were totally pumped at the end of the game, as were the parents.  And to top it off, Raegan was the game saver in the championship.  She stopped 2 goals from going in just inches from the goal line.  I have no idea where she came out of but she flew in there like a rocket and got the ball out of the goal box.  All of the parents went nuts.  It was so fun to watch!  Coach Steve let her pass out the trophies :)  We ended the weekend with all of the Fever families over at our house for a pool party.  The kids and parents had lots of fun!  Lots of laughs, lots of drinks, lots of food, and lots of celebration!!!!

Playing Hooky!

Sherry took the Friday before Memorial Day off.  And Bubbie and Grandpa weren't in town either.  So I took the day off and decided that Raegan could play hooky from school.  I decided to take the girls out to Lake Ray Roberts for the day.  The weather has been really nice so far this late spring/early summer.  We got there around 11 and played on the beach for a few hours.  We had a picnic lunch on the beach and also played at the playground.  Then we went on a bike ride.  I didn't realize that the bike trail is 2.8 miles and took all 3 girls on it!  Samantha and Mallory had a hard time going up the hills.  Their little legs are just so small and they aren't really good on the bikes yet.  But they made it and were happy about themselves for going on the entire trail.  After the bike ride we attempted to fish at the kiddie pond.  The fish were just taking the worms off of our hooks and we didn't get a single bite.  But the kids had fun!  Then we headed back to the beach for another hour or so and decided to pack up and head home around 6:00.  On the way home we stopped for dinner and dessert at Dairy Queen.  I had such a good time with the girls!  I think they had a good time too :)

Stepping Stones and Bubbie's Birthday

Bubbie's birthday was a quick and small gathering due to soccer and basketball tournaments.  The girls made new stepping stones for the HSV house.  We ordered pizza and the kids swam.  Just a quick family get-together to celebrate the BUBBIE!

Field Day 2012

Field Day looked a little different this year at Beck Elementary. Because of the addition and new expansion, one of the parking lots was unavailable for field day. So the kids had to split their day. Half of the grades went in the AM and the other half went in the PM. I was able to step away from my busy end to the year to see a little of the Field Day. Let me just say that Raegan is totally in her element when competing at school. I hear all the time about competitions in PE (jump roping, pacers, push ups, etc.). Rae is normally at the top of the group or winning some of the competitions. She is just so competitive and often takes a race to the second level. So Field Day is just perfect for her. What would make it even better is if it were run like our Field Days back in the day. You know when you won ribbons for being first in the sack race or first in the relay. Of course it's just not cool that no everyone can win something. So Field Day isn't run like this anymore. But look at the smile on Raegan's face. She just LOVES this! I even had to wonder to myself if she even cares about being around friends. I just don't see her interact with friends during things like this. But her teacher assured me that she normally is right in with a group of friends playing and having fun. So it must just be the competition that keeps her focused :)

 

 

4 year stats

We went to see Dr. Robert a few days after the girls turned 4. They both did a great job at the appointment. They have never been afraid to go to the doctor or dentist and are just good kids when we're there. Both girls got 1 shot and were asked a bunch of questions by Dr. Robert. He said they are both advanced for their age and will do wonderful in school. They also had a hearing and vision test done and passed both. I was a bit surprised to hear that Sam doesn't have any issues with hearing because she's always SO LOUD. But I think she's just dramatic and wants to be heard!

Sam and Mal's 4th Birthday Party

Well the pool and backyard make for a great place to host a birthday party. All of the family came over for the party and we had the Wilsons and Youngs there as well. The kids played between the pool, trampoline, and waterslide. They had a great time. We grilled burgers and hot dogs and had cake and ice cream. The twins got some very nice gifts from everyone and also got another car (dune buggy) from all of the grandparents. The kids had a good time riding the cars and playing soccer in the street. And no one was hurt. So that's a bonus! Happy 4th Birthday Samantha Kay and Mallory Rose!
