January 2010...what's going on in the Sharer house

I haven't been good about keeping up with this blog lately. Sorry. There really isn't a whole lot going on though. I'll break it down a bit by kid.

#1- Raegan is in the midst of her indoor soccer season with Odyssey. She is doing well and has had a HUGE improvement with her attention at practice, thanks to a little booster pill. She is doing great and getting to know the girls on her team. She is playing in a benefit tournament in Paradise, TX next weekend. That should be fun. Raegan continues to do well in school also. She has officially tested into the GATES program at her school. I'm really proud of her. I knew she was a smart cookie. I'm glad she will be challenged a bit more now. Love her!

#2- Samantha is in the midst of potty training right now. We are on our 2nd day in real panties (excluding naptime and nighttime). It's going pretty well. I'm not sure that Mrs. Sherry will want to continue with panties during the week just yet though. We might do another few weeks of pull ups to see if she will start expressing when she needs to go a bit more. I'm proud of her! She also had her 2nd haircut last weekend. I will cut bangs soon if her hair continues to fall in her face. She has Bryan's big forehead. So she'll most likely need bangs anyway.

#3- Hmmm....Mallory is being Mallory. She doesn't want to waste time on potty training right now. So I've decided just to focus on sister. She still gets her turn on the potty but isn't normally successful. Mallory is full of energy and drama. She runs full force and is talking really well right now. She will also attempt to sing her ABCs. So cute!

I'll leave you with some pictures. I haven't taken many in January! Oh, Bryan and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on January 8th. Can you believe it!

A little late...but Happy New Year!

Sloane had a sleepover on NYE this year, just like last year. The girls watched movies, ate popcorn, watched the ball fall with us, and tried to calm the dogs down while our backdoor neighbors lit of fireworks all night basically in our backyard! It was a good night. The babies didn't get to stay up. But they liked the hats and little sound makers!

Flashback Friday

Nothing much to report right now. Raegan is doing well in school and soccer. The twins are getting big. Bryan is staying busy. I am finally starting to get busy. Things are good!

I'll go back 3 years since that's what I have on my computer.

Love this look Sam is giving Mallory. LOL!

24 weeks. Ah to be pregnant and fat (for a reason) again.

My 3.5 year old. Life at the center of everyone's attention!

Fairy Tale Ball

Raegan's school does a Fairy Tale Ball for all first graders. It follows the Fiction lessons and the kids get VERY involved in it. The work toward learning about characters, settings, morals of the story, etc. It's a great unit for them. At the end of the unit, they have a big Ball. We're talking a mini-Prom for first graders. They learn 2 different dances and perform for the parents. At the end of the dance, they get to dance with their moms or dads. Luckily all of the family attended, Aunt Carole, her friend Jean, Bubbie, Grandpa, and Grandma S. I don't remember a whole lot about it (as I was feeling no pain that day) but I think everyone had a good time. Luckily I got to watch them perform for the kindergarteners the day before so I could see them in action. Here are the pics!

Christmas 2009

It's been awhile since I've updated. I'm sure lots has happened in that time. But the main highlights are Christmas and the end of the 2009 year!

We spent Christmas Eve with the Sharer's as usual. We had a great dinner followed by a fun time opening gifts. The girls must have been good because they got some good stuff. Then we treked home in the nasty, icey roads and got ready for Santa to come. The girls (well Raegan) was lucky that Santa hasn't been watching our house closely this year. Because he was super nice to them! Santa brought Raegan a new desk for her room and a new bike and helmet. Santa brought Samantha a rocking chair and cleaning set. He brought Mallory a rocking chair and workbench. All of which the girls loved. After unwrapping far too many gifts at our home, we headed to the Johnson's to spend the day with Bubbie, Grandpa, Aunt Carole, and Hilary. The Young Johnson's were in Iowa this Christmas and were missed. On to the pictures!
