Easter Fun

Easter 2012 was an interesting year. First of all, I was sick with the stomach flu. MISERABLE! Then we had a huge group of people. I think we had 26 people that came through at some point. Hilary Klotz, the Sharers, both sets of Johnsons, the Kiernans and the young and old Millers. From what I could tell, everyone had a good time. The kids played together in the house because it rained most of the day. Luckily the rain stopped and the kids were able to have their Easter egg hunt in the backyard. It was a good day with friends and family!

Dying Easter Eggs 2012

The girls all had a good time dying eggs this year. Sam and Mal are finally understanding it and trying to make them pretty. And of course Raegan and Sloane are trying to make art out of their eggs. Ellie's not too interested in any of it :)

Bluebonnets 2012

The annual bluebonnet pictures went as normal. No one looked in the same direction, no one smiled at the same time, and Sam stepped in an ant pile. BUT, we did get a few good pictures of the kids! We waited a little late to take pictures this year but were able to find a small patch in an area that no one would have gotten run over by a car :)

Fever Spring Soccer 2012

Raegan and her teammates have had a GREAT first season together. The girls played in two leages, SDL and primetime. They also helped the 02 Fever team and were able to get experience on the 11v11 field. The girls placed first in both of their leagues. Their record from February to May is 18-1-0. A fantastic start for a brand new team. With their record, they are ranked #4 in the DFW area. We couldn't be more proud of their progress!

Spring Break Camping

We headed to Tyler State Park over Spring Break with the Helms, Greenwoods, and Wilsons. Sloane also went along. The kids had a great time. The park was very nice and the weather was perfect. The kids swam in the lake and we also went paddle boating. Fishing wasn't very good but a few small fish were caught. Sam and Mal were not very good sleepers, at all. But everything else went wonderfully. The kids all had a blast and the parents had a great time hanging out together.

Techno Expo

Raegan was one of 6 groups of kids at Beck invited to attend the Techno Expo and share something that she has done with technology in her learning. She and Maddie completed a Powerpoint presentation in GATES on Macchu Picchu. They got up in front of everyone in the group and did a great time with their presentation. I was very proud of Raegan for her hardwork and creativity.
